Here's an update on the Peeper #22 Variant Cover Scavenger Hunt that starts on Black Friday...

There are 4 locations with my newsletter displays currently.  They include:

-The Local Buzz  (on the left table when you walk in)

Issue #22, along with the randomly placed variant covers will be in place by noon 11/24/17, the start of Black Friday, which is when the scavenger hunt begins!  The first person to find the two variant cover newsletters and post a photo of them on the Crevice Creations facebook page will receive a prize!  Below are the 2 variant covers to look for, along with the regular cover!

The Peeper #22 Variant Cover Black Friday Scavenger Hunt !

Before it's December tour to various cities in SC, GA, and NC, the Peeper Comedy Newsletter #22 will be released on Black Friday in Columbia, SC with 2 variant covers as part of a city-wide scavenger hunt! Participants will visit several local businesses where issues of the Peeper free newsletter will be located (TBA) in an effort to locate the variant covers, that will be randomly placed among the regular cover issues.   The first person to find both variant covers and post a picture with them on the Crevice Creations Facebook group will get a special prize!  The Peeper#22 Variant Black Friday Scavenger Hunt is slated to run from Black Friday (Friday November 24, 2017) to Friday December 1, 2017.  The locations for the newsletters will be announced by Thanksgiving.

In preparation for the Variant Scavenger Hunt, I will be placing flyers around the Columbia area this weekend, mostly in places that have nowhere for me to put up a Peeper display.  Below is a photo of the actual 3 flyer types, featuring previews of the 3 covers.

The Peeper Comedy Newsletter--Christmas Tour

The Peeper Newsletter Christmas Tour!

Starting this December, in an attempt to get more readership, Mr. Peepers' comedy newsletter, the Peeper will go on a Christmas Tour!  Issue #22, which is the 2017 Comic Convention Special, will be depart our home base of Columbia, SC and be distributed in four different directions and six different cities in and around SC!  The cities include:

Augusta, GA
Greenville, SC
Charlotte, NC
Florence, SC
Charleston, SC
Savannah, GA

These free issues will be placed in plastic holders and set up in coffee shops, comic book stores, bars, and other public places that will take them!  Check back here on From the Crevice to see updates when the tour begins in December!  Mr. Peepers will be personally delivering them to each city, and will be taking photos with the displays for everyone to see here!

Groceries in Lewiston Promo from 1997

The Groceries in Lewiston comic series is perhaps the most in-depth comic project I've ever worked on and has now been around since 1997, which I just realized was 20 YEARS AGO!  Based on my time working in a grocery store, the series concept began as a daily comic strip, but quickly evolved into a full comic book series.  I have written up to 20 story arcs that originally consisted of 24 issues each!  The planning over the years has included plots (in comic strip and comic book form), scripts, character descriptions, model sheets, and promo posters like the one above.  This poster nor any other artwork has been released online until now.  The project was pushed aside when I started doing Inkstains, and because of my desire to be "good enough" at my art to properly illustrate it.  Now in 2017, I feel that I have matured enough artistically that I am ready to finish what I started, and finally create the Groceries in Lewiston web comic!  I am looking forward to adding it to my Crevice Comics universe in the near future!
